Directions to Peak District Bed and Breakfast

Peak District Bed and Breakfast is situated in the village of Chinley in the High Peak District of North Derbyshire in the Peak District National Park.

Chinley is approximately 2 miles from the A6 on the B6062 between  the villages of Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith. The High Peak region is about 20 miles south east of Manchester as shown on the map. The O.S. grid reference is SK042829 : X=404233, Y=382981.

From the South

When approaching from the south follow the A6 northwards from its' junction with the A623 Chesterfield road for about 1 mile to the next roundabout. Take the first exit at this roundabout signposted Glossop. Continue for about 1/4 ml when you will approach another roundabout at the Federal Mogul (Ferodo) brake lining factory. Take the second exit onto the A624, again signposted to Glossop. Follow this road for about 1/2 ml, past the High Peak Council Offices on the left hand side and shortly afterwards carry straight on where the road becomes the B6062 signed to Chinley Station. Pass 2 schools on the left and, when approaching Chinley village, turn right where the road bends sharply to the left, pass over the railway bridge, then take the next turning right at the T junction into Maynestone Road where you will find 'Orleans', High Peak Bed and Breakfast a short way along on the left hand side.

From the North

When approaching from the north from Glossop follow the A624 south through the village of Hayfield. Continue on the A624 for about 3 ml until passing under a railway bridge. Immediately afterwards turn right onto the B6062, pass 2 schools on the left and, when approaching Chinley village, turn right where the road bends sharply to the left, pass over the railway bridge, then take the next turning right at the T junction into Maynestone Road where you will find 'Orleans', High Peak Bed and Breakfast a short way along on the left hand side.

When coming from Manchester follow the A6 through the village of Disley and on past New Mills and Furness Vale. Immediately after passing under the railway bridge at Bridgemont turn very sharp left onto the B6062 signposted to Chinley. Follow the B6062 for about 3 ml into Chinley village, pass an arcade of shops on the left, follow the road around to the left, pass the Post Office on the right then after about 100m take the minor road straight ahead where the B6062 turns to the right. Pass over the railway bridge then take the next turning right at the T junction into Maynestone Road where you will find 'Orleans', High Peak Bed and Breakfast a short way along on the left hand side.
